At Amylin, we are committed to strengthening the communities where we live and work through participation and leadership in charitable, educational, civic, cultural and service initiatives. Amylin’s activities focus on key areas that utilize our expertise and technology. These include diabetes and obesity awareness, educational initiatives that support students interested in careers in the biotechnology industry, and projects or events that promote healthy lifestyles. In addition to Amylin’s involvement as a company, many of Amylin’s employees volunteer to support local events and initiatives.

Amylin provides support to national diabetes advocacy groups such as the American Diabetes Association, the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation and Taking Control of Your Diabetes. Many Amylin employees are also active members of advisory boards for these organizations.

Amylin supports local universities in the development and promotion of programs that educate students interested in research on needs specific to the biotech community to help further cultivate this important industry. A number of Amylin employees also serve on the boards of industry advocacy groups such as BIO and PhRMA.

Amylin employees actively support the local chapters of groups such as the American Diabetes Association and the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation as well as local universities through participation in activities such as athletic events and fund raisers. Amylin also organizes voluntary giving programs to provide employees easy ways to donate to disaster relief funds and to organizations such as United Way/CHAD.
