PROFESSIONAL ASSOCIATION GRANTS

Priority is assigned to the support of national or regional organizations or medical societies with missions dedicated to the improvement of diabetes and obesity medical care for professional health care providers. These could include research awards, general support for infrastructure, and corporate memberships.  This does not include grant requests to fund specific Independent Medical Education activities (CME, ISE, etc.). 

Professional Association grant requests generally outside the scope or of lower priority for AGO funding include the following:
  • Grants to for-profit individuals or groups
  • Associations where entertainment is substantive part of initiatives
  • Fees for commercial exhibits, advertizing, and other commercial opportunities (these requests should be directed to the local Amylin sales representative or marketing department)
AGO only funds grant requests that have a designated purpose, which must be sufficiently outlined within the letter of request.
